Most photo booth business owners want to make money but don’t want to spend money on marketing. Which is why they love “word of mouth”, which is also why most of them remain poor… Harsh, but true. Don’t shoot the messenger!
The problem: word of mouth ONLY works when 1) you have a consistent flow of new bookings + 2) you deliver amazing service that makes people come back and refer you to more people. Most people can do 2 but s*ck at 1 and that's why their word of mouth (WOM) doesn't work...
How to fix it: to get more WOM fix your marketing first (please NO free events!)
You can do warm outreach, cold outreach, paid ads or content. Don't do all of them. Pick one and master it until you have a consistent flow of inquiries.
My favorite hack: run ads + excellent service + WOM = money printer go brrrr
How to do it:
Run ads (forever) - to bring new clients in the door daily
Deliver exceptional customer service - this will unlock your word-of-mouth marketing
Back-end offer - sell more to your existing customers to increase LTV (lifetime value per customer). Goal is to get at least 1 new booking out of your existing bookings. This will 2x your revenue without any additional ad spend (aka free marketing)
Here's the kicker - 1+1=2 at first, but then 2+2=4 etc... hence the "money printer".
Pro Tip: instead of thinking "how can I spend less on ads" think "how can I spend more". The business that can outspend everyone wins. That's the game that the biggest companies play.
