Photo Booth owners dream about getting more calls from strangers but once they get them, they struggle to convert the calls into bookings.
The problem: people buy from people who they know, like and trust. Gaining status when on a call with a stranger will immediately make them trust you more and will help you close the deal.
How to do it: change your pre-framing question
When someone calls you, say: "Hey, btw did you hear about us from XX ... event "?
Example:
"Hey, btw did you hear about us from Google's Christmas event?
"Hey, btw did you hear about us on The Knot's best wedding photo booths in 2025 list?"
etc...
Why it works:
Even if the person on the phone didn't hear about you from that specific source, it will tell them you've been listed there or you've won that "award"... It almost gives you the same benefit of them being referred by that source even though they didn't come from there... More trust = more bookings
Pro tip: just say the truth! Even if doesn't sound so fabulous to you, it may mean a lot to others.
