Most Photo Booth owners price their packages hourly. They usually allow customers to buy additional hours of service on the spot in case they need them to stay longer. Less than 20% of people actually do it. The result - lower booking value.
The problem: photo booth owners charge the same for an "extra hour now" vs "extra hour then". As a result customers aren't incentivized to take it.
How to fix it: price your "on the spot additional hours" 2-3x higher than what the customer can pay at the time of the booking.
Example: customer books a 3-hour package for $1,000. If they decide they want an extra hour on the spot, you charge them +$400, if they buy it now it's only +$150.
How to do it:
- If on the phone, present the option immediately after they pay and ask if they want an extra hour.
- If on your website, add a "one-click order bump" - "Add an extra hour of fun for just $150 now (vs $400 on the spot)."
Why it works:
Customer perceives it as deal (anchor price)
Adds sense of urgency (act now)
